During the month of May, the local Bealls outlet store collected various sorts of pet supplies for donation to the Suwannee Valley Humane Society. This was part of Bealls’ Community Connection program of community service projects undertaken by each of the Bealls stores. “We like to get involved with the community as much as we can,” said Steve Redman, Manager of the Madison Bealls store. The store collected all manner of toys, pet supplies, treats and more from customers of the store. The supplies were then donated to the Suwannee Valley Humane Society. According to Redman, approximately $300 worth of supplies were donated.
This is just one of the community service projects the local store will carry out during the year. The store will also be holding a “Back to School” event later in the year. The details of the Back to School event have yet to be announced. The event will benefit a local Madison County school. Although the Community Connection program is nationwide among all Bealls stores, the supplies raised stay local.
Another effort will be the Toys for Tots program which will take place closer to the holiday season
