With election day right around the corner, on Tuesday, Nov. 8, it is important to be aware of pertinent information that pertains to voter registration deadlines, places available for casting ballots and of the different ways to cast your ballot.
The closing date for new voter registration is Tuesday, Oct. 11. Every eligible and registered voter may vote in this election. All voters may vote in this county-wide general election. All polling locations will be open on election day, Nov. 8, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Voters may also vote by mail; these ballots are mailed 35 days before the election and will continue to be mailed upon request. Requests must be received up to six days prior to election day.
Early voters may cast their ballots beginning, Saturday, Oct. 29 and continuing through Saturday, Nov. 5, at the following locations:
Madison Board Room Annex is located at 229 SW Pinckney St., in Madison. This location will serve registered voters, in Rm. 107, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Lee City Hall, located at 286 NE CR 255, in Lee. This location will serve registered voters, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Greenville Senior Citizens Building, located at 166 SW Onslow St., in Greenville. This location will serve registered voters, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pinetta Volunteer Fire Dept, located at 509 NE Persimmon Dr., in Pinetta. This location will serve registered voters, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m and on Saturday and Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Voters will be required to vote in their own precinct, on election day.
