It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Anita Burnett, who left us on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, in Greenville, Fla., at the age of 90. Born in Sirmans, Fla., on Aug. 7, 1934, she was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished by all who knew her.
On warm summer days, when her grandkids were growing up, Anita could often be found in her backyard, lounging by the pool or swimming, maintaining a tan that made us all jealous. Always prepared with snacks, she had a special way of spoiling her grandkids after a long day of swimming. Anita's love for the outdoors extended to her daily trips to the farm, where she enjoyed fishing-a passion she passed down to her sons and grandchildren. She could out fish anyone and was always ready for a family fish fry, making these gatherings unforgettable.
