Another Cowboy has signed a Letter of Intent to play college football. This time, Johnathon Alexander will be going from a Cowboy to a Cavalier as he prepares to join the Cavaliers of the University of Virginia at Wise (Uva-Wise).
Founded in 1954, Uva-Wise is a small liberal arts school located in southwest Virginia. The school is a Division II school with a student population of just over 2,000 students. The football team competes in the Mountain East Conference.
Alexander played middle linebacker for the Cowboys and built an impressive resume during his high school career. Alexander tallied 248 total tackles and 116 solo tackles, averaging 9.9 tackles per game. Alexander also had 48 tackles-for-loss during his Cowboy career. He was named to the First Team Defensive unit for the 2017 All Big-Bend Football Team.

Johnathon “Bulldog” Alexander signed a Letter of Intent to play college football for the University of Virginia at Wise Cavaliers in a halftime ceremony during the Madison County High School (MCHS) vs. Hawthorne basketball game. Alexander is the son of Czedrick Rooks and Jackie Livingston. He plans to pursue a degree in Nursing.
