The women’s ministry of Fellowship Baptist Church has scheduled “A Matter of the Heart,” a ladies overnight retreat, to be held in Dowling Park, on Friday, Aug. 21. The fee is $75, which covers meals, lodging and supplies for the event.
The retreat is being led by Marcia McCoy and Christy Bass Adams and will focus on keeping your heart right before God. “Everything is a heart issue and comes back to the condition of the heart,” states the event’s Facebook page.
A $25 deposit is required by Sunday, June 21, as there are only 40 spots open. For anyone needing financial assistance to attend, scholarships are available. Registration begins at 3 p.m. on Friday, with dinner beginning at 6 p.m. The retreat concludes at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, at 4 p.m.
