By visiting her website kimdenmark.org, visitors are given the opportunity to support one of the most worthwhile causes in America. “I've visited 16 states, and I'm on my 32nd pair of sneakers,” Kim Denmark noted, and as her website, Facebook, and several prominent articles state, she is doing it all for homeless veterans – literally walking across America for them.
“Among the homeless veterans I'm supporting, I also have to throw out a huge thanks to Evelyn Butler Cherry and Derenza Cherry who returned my lost valuables. I appreciate their help; Madison County is special, and they are super special,” Denmark added.
Among other programs, areas of emphasis on her website are:
Community food bank: Food justice is an important part of community justice. Donations are accepted from local businesses and use them to fight hunger.
Community connections: Communities are full of people who want to help. They work to help the people by providing services find the people who need them.
Find more ways to help: A nonprofit is as strong as the community that holds it up.
