A driver was seriously injured after losing control of his Dodge Challenger on Saturday, September 5 at 7:30 a.m. on US Hwy 90 near County Road 150 in Madison. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Bryce Mitchell Sanderson, 19, of Monticello was traveling eastbound on US Hwy 90. His 2013 Dodge Challenger traveled northeast across the westbound travel lane of US Hwy 90, across the paved shoulder and then onto the north grass shoulder of US Hwy 90. The vehicle continued traveling northeast on the north grass shoulder and the front collided with a culvert. The vehicle traveled over the culvert and into the tall underbrush and into standing water. The vehicle came to final rest on the north grass shoulder facing northeast. Sanderson received serious injuries and was transported to Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was charged with careless driving.
