Two vehicles collided in an accident on Tuesday, March 29 that resulted in two being transported to Madison County Memorial Hospital.
Whitney Hughey, 27, of Madison, was driving west on Base St. while accompanied by her young son. Hughey admits that she was talking on her phone and was not fully engaged in paying attention to the vehicle in front of her, which was being driven by Marcell Jones.

EMTs on the scene evaluated Jones and Hughey’s son before transporting both of them to MCMH for further evaluation and, if required, care.
