Angela Gaston, 50, of Madison, was driving northbound on NE Rocky Ford Road on Saturday, Jan. 16 around 9 p.m. on a 2013 Polar AVT.
For unknown reasons, Gaston’s vehicle began to turn counterclockwise and this action caused her to become separated from her All-Terrain-Vehicle.
The out of control vehicle came to an uncontrolled stop after throwing its driver. The vehicle came to a rest facing northwest in a driveway on the west shoulder of NE Rocky Ford Road.
Gaston came to a final rest facing north in the southbound travel lane; opposite from where her ATV came to a final stop.
Gaston, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where she later passed away due to her injuries.
No alcohol is believed to have played a part in the accident.
