Sept. 11, 2001 began like any other Tuesday morning. By the end of the day, more Americans had been lost to violence on American soil than at any time since the Civil War. It became one of those pivotal moments in time by which all future events would be measured. Much like the John F. Kennedy assassination or when Neil Armstrong stepped onto the surface of the moon, we will forever remember where we were, what we were doing, and the feelings we had as we watched the events unfold before our very eyes.
As we approach the 15th anniversary of 9/11, as it has become known, we want to hear your recollections of that day. Where were you? What were you feeling and thinking as events unfolded? How did those events affect you or your family, either directly or indirectly?
We plan to publish some of your answers on a special page that will be in our Friday, Sept. 9 edition. You may mail your responses to: P.O. Drawer 772 Madison, Fl. 32341, or post on our Facebook page, call our office at (850) 973-4141 or e-mail rick@greenepublishing.-com.
