It looks like the Easter Bunny came early to Wendy Branch’s home, and invited a few friends as well. Her home is adorned with colorful bunnies and chicks that hang from the roof and more bunnies greet you on the railing as you walk up the steps to her front door.
The first thing you notice when pulling in the drive is her mailbox that seems to have grown pink, fuzzy ears overnight. Continuing up the drive, you pass the address sign that is in bloom with multiple types and colors of flowers on top, with a nest of colorful eggs at the base. If you pass by her house, however, you may notice her two newest decoration additions; her inflatable bunnies. Towards the front of the yard is one of her favorite decorations, the wooden cross with flowers and a purple sash. When asked what her favorite thing is about Easter, Branch responded simply, “It’s Christ.”
Other decorations are scattered about, giving viewers plenty to see, and requiring those passing by to reduce their speed in order to take it all in. There are bunnies and eggs tucked into trees, on benches and if she’s not quick enough, Peaches the dog may even get her own set of bunny ears soon.
Wendy Branch loves to decorate and looks forward to each holiday, but says the next two months will be time off for her as there are no major holidays, and says she looks forward to the break. But for now, Branch, and those who pass by her home, can enjoy Easter.
