A driver was cited for failure to drive in a single lane after the vehicle traveled across I-10 near mile marker 248 on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 7:55 a.m., according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
Chantal Armada, 20, of Miami, was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 on the inside lane at approximately 70 m.p.h. For an unknown reason, Armada lost control of the steering. Armada’s 2004 Lexus ES330 began to rotate as it entered into the median and crossed the median to the westbound side. The vehicle continued and crossed the westbound lanes and entered onto the north shoulder of I-10. The vehicle traveled down the slope of the shoulder to the tree line. The rear struck a cluster of bushes and small trees. This impact caused the vehicle to rotate and slide down the tree line eastbound where it came to final rest, facing east.
No injuries were reported and Armada was charged with failure to drive in a single lane.
