A Ford truck towing a camper trailer caught on fire at the I-10 westbound rest area on Thursday, June 12. According to Lee Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief Jason Archambault, the driver stopped in the rest area because the truck did not feel right. When the driver exited the vehicle, the front right tire was on fire.
When the Lee Volunteer Fire Department arrived on scene the vehicle was fully involved. Madison Fire Rescue responded to the call and arrived shortly after Lee Volunteer Fire Department to assist in extinguishing the fire.
There were no injuries reported.
