Two Juveniles Charged With Stealing School Bus

Two juveniles were arrested for stealing a school bus that was located at the Madison County School District Office located at 210 NE Duval Avenue on Wednesday, July 23 at 1 a.m.
According to the Madison Police Department report, Raven Rashod Robinson, 12, and Laidarieus Tyrell Gillyard, 17, entered school bus #89 and started the bus, which had the keys in the ignition. Robinson and Gillyard drove to a location in Hamilton County off State Road 6, where the bus became stuck, prompting them to abandon the vehicle and walk home.
Sergeant Investigator James Roebuck reviewed the video surveillance on board the recovered the school bus and saw the two juveniles in the stolen vehicle and that they exchanged driving duties at one point.
Robinson was located at his home address and confessed to participating in the theft with Gillyard. He was arrested at 2:30 p.m. on the Wednesday, July 23, and transported to Madison County Jail. Robinson was charged with auto theft.
Gillyard was located at his home address and confessed to participating in the theft. He was arrested at 5:28 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, and transported to Madison County Jail. Gillyard was charged with auto theft and auto theft attempt.
