While many Americans have become more open to counseling and mental health services, the stigma attached to counseling continues. The National Institute of Mental Health reports that one in five adults has the need for counseling in a given year. The stigma prevents people from knowing where to turn for services.
“Our goal is to provide better access to services” said Mitchell. “This new service is part of our commitment to meet the needs of our patients when they may not be able to find them readily available in their communities. We are here to help.”
