The VBS voyage ends at Landmark Baptist Church

Nancy Taylor: Greene Publishing, Inc.

The ship has docked; the voyagers have disembarked, and the unused cargo has been stored for future use.

Landmark Baptist Church, here in Madison, began their vacation bible school on Monday, June 5, enrolling a large number of young people from ages 4 to 19.  Each night at assembly – puppets, Buster and Shelly – delighted the young people with their stories and antics from the portholes of Dr. Albert Vanguard’s submarine.  In the lessons taught each night during the classes, the life of Jesus was followed from Bethlehem to Calvary to learn why Jesus is our only Savior and Redeemer.

On the closing night, Friday, June 9, with their families present, the young people told the story in song and received their certificates of completion.

Plans are already underway for the 2018 VBS. The VBS program for 2018 will be the exciting, “Jungle River Adventures.”

Landmark Baptist Church is located at 3399 W US Hwy. 90, in Madison, and can be reached by calling (850) 973-7249.
