If there's anything anyone can say about the owners of Madison Ace Hardware, the McDonald family, it’s that their commitment to quality care and service is second to none. And in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak globally, their essential business is here for you, remaining aware of the situation at hand.
Considered by some as the "Mall of Madison," shoppers who roam the aisles at Madison Ace Hardware will find no shortage of variety. A plethora of items, spanning from DeWalt tools to Scotts turf products, stock the shelves; as well as a range of plumbing, gardening and painting items. The local store is also a one-stop shop for your tailgating needs – YETI products, Big Green Egg grills and Madison County Cowboy apparel is also a common sight in the center.
Recently, lumber has been added to the Ace Hardware inventory. According to owner Tim McDonald, Madison Ace Hardware is the only indoor lumber yard in the county. "It never sees sunshine. It never sees rain," said McDonald. "Therefore, it's straighter and more true."
In light of recent federal guidelines, Madison Ace Hardware is maintaining their normal business hours during the stay-at-home order issued by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. During this time, employees are conducting deep cleanings of the store frequently to combat any potential introduction of infection.
On an hourly basis, sales associates are staying mindful and wiping down their point-of-sale areas, counter tops, door handles and other high-contact surfaces. Owner Tim McDonald also mentioned that his store is continuing to abide by CDC and Presidential guidelines, directing people to maintain a six foot separation between themselves and others.
Madison Ace Hardware is also promoting their online order option, which can be found by logging onto www.acehardware.com. Curbside pick-up is made available to customers who prefer to stay in their vehicle as a precaution.
The local hardware store is owned by Tim and Lacretia McDonald, and is managed by their son, Tyler McDonald. In 2019, Madison Ace Hardware had the "coolest hardware store" honor bestowed upon them during the Ace Hardware 2019 Pinnacle Conference in Las Vegas, Nev. Madison Ace Hardware is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The store is closed on Sundays.
