Tammy Stevens was offered and accepted the CEO position at Madison County Memorial Hospital on Thursday, Jan. 22. Stevens has been Interim CEO since Nov. 26 of last year.
Stevens has 27 years of health care experience and 25 of those 27 are at Madison County Memorial Hospital. Stevens’ health care experience includes many facets such as hospital management, home health care administration, nursing administration and quality management. She has served as the hospital’s Chief Operating Officer since August 2006. She is also a licensed health care risk manager and a registered nurse.
I am very excited and looking forward to the challenge,” said Stevens about the new position.
The goals for the hospital are to bring in specialists to provide services to the community and to recruit family practice physicians to Madison to live and practice in the community.
