The 8th grade SSTRIDE students, under the direction of SSTRIDE Instructor, Penny Kurtz and SSTRIDE Coordinator, Selena Phillips, visited the Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center, Thursday, April 17, to give residents an egg hunt for Easter.

Residents were given baskets and with the help of SSTRIDE students, rehab staff and even some family members who attended the hunt, had a great time searching for the colorful eggs. First, second and third place prizes were given to the person finding the most eggs, but Sharon Lee Dawkins, Health and Rehab’s activities director said there were plenty of prizes to go around, even for residents who did not participate.
The students had a good time with the residents, taking them outdoors, placing eggs in their baskets and handing out the furry stuffed bunnies. “It was a beautiful event,” said Dawkins.
