While talking with the driver, investigators observed the front seat passenger, identified as Kendall Johnson, attempting to remove an unknown object from his pants pocket.
Investigators instructed Johnson to remove his hands from his pocket and step out of the vehicle. As Johnson exited the vehicle, he placed his wallet on the front seat, leaving it inside the vehicle. After completing the traffic violation enforcement actions, investigators conducted a consent search of the vehicle. During the search investigators located a small plastic bag containing marijuana concealed inside of Johnson’s wallet.
Johnson was arrested without incident and transported to the Madison County Jail. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance under 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
