Seven arrested on drug charges

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force recently executed arrest warrants stemming from a covert drug investigation spanning over several months into the possession and distribution of illegal narcotics throughout Madison County. Sheriff Stewart reports that the investigation continues and more arrests are expected.

Bernard Leon Frazier, 37, of Madison was charged with possession with intent to sell counterfeit controlled substance in lieu of marijuana and sell of counterfeit controlled substance in lieu of marijuana. He has 16 previous arrests/charges including disorderly conduct, violation of driver license restrictions, DWLSR, battery, VOP, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, resisting officer with violence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, sale of cocaine and DUI.

Dwane Steward Turner, 45, of Madison was charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church and three counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church. He has 42 previous arrests/charges including disorderly conduct, aggravated battery on law enforcement officer, resisting officer with violence, larceny, dealing in stolen property, VOP, FTA, dealing in stolen property, resisting without violence, burglary, larceny, passing forged instrument, no driver’s license, drug paraphernalia, attaching unassigned tag, sale of cocaine, possession with intent to sell cocaine, petit theft, DWLSR, hit and run, shoplifting and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.

Brice Xeryus Hamilton, 20, of Greenville was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell MDMA and two counts of sell of MDMA. He has three previous arrests/charges: disorderly conduct, burglary and larceny.

Amy Michelle Bearden, 39, of Lee was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell marijuana and two counts of sell of marijuana. She had no previous arrests/charges.

Herman Earl Yarbrough, 68, of Lee was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell Alprazolam and two counts of sell of Alprazolam. He has 28 previous arrests/charges including AWOL, desertion, escape, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, rape, non support, felony DUI, retail theft, disorderly intoxication, DWLSR, DUI, open container, trespass, FTA, theft, VOP, battery, DUI with property damage, DWLSR, possession of controlled substance Xanex and sale of controlled substance Xanex.

Johnathan James Gay, 54, of Madison, was charged with possession with intent to sell of prescription medication and possession of marijuana less than 20 grams. He has five previous arrests/charges: trespassing, DUI, possession of marijuana, assault and disturbing the peace.

Antony Tumblin, 45, of Madison was charged with three counts of possession with intent to sell marijuana within 1,000 feet of a church, possession of marijuana more than 20 grams, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has 27 previous arrest/charges including shoplifting, VOP, trespassing, FTA, Larceny, trespassing, criminal mischief, destroying evidence, obstruction by disguise, disorderly conduct, battery, VOP, possession with intent to sell crack cocaine, sale of crack cocaine, attach tag not assigned, aggravated battery, FTA, resisting officer with violence, battery on law enforcement, domestic battery and resisting officer without violence.
