Search leads to multiple arrests

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force has been conducting a covert investigation involving the possession and sale of marijuana and synthetic marijuana, also known as “spice.”

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that the investigation has spanned over the recent months and resulted in obtaining arrest warrants for Calvin Jerome Bruton, 36, of Madison.

In addition to the arrest warrants, Sgt. Lauth and Sgt. Boatwright obtained a search warrant for the residence and attached property located at 133 SW Millinor Street in Madison where Bruton had been conducting his illegal activity.

On Thursday Jan. 28, the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (S.E.R.T.) executed the search warrant on the residence and land thereof.

Moore and Wilson eventually assisted the officers by providing details on the whereabouts of Bruton.

Bruton was soon located at 170 Chickweed Circle in Madison where he was taken into custody on the arrest warrants.
