On Thursday, Jan. 25, the staff of Saint Leo University in Madison collaborated with the Madison County Chamber of Commerce to hold a fantastic grand opening for the Madison academic office. The event brought in staff members of Saint Leo University from Lake City, Gainesville and other cities.
The City of Madison, Town of Lee and the Town of Greenville were represented by members of the council. Also in attendance were representatives from Madison Fire Rescue and the Madison Police Department. The event began at 2 p.m. with two tents set up with refreshments such as homemade cordon bleu, cheese, crackers, cake and punch. The event also offered free gift bags and shirts to anyone who attended.
At 2:30 p.m., Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Phyllis Williams, welcomed everyone to the event. Christy Roebuck, Center Director for the Madison office, then expressed her gratitude for everyone, including her staff and the guests in attendance, for their support of Saint Leo University. The grand opening ceremony was assisted by the staff of Saint Leo University of Madison, staff from surrounding counties, the Madison Chamber of Commerce, 2017 Miss Madison County Erin Jarvis and 2017 Teen Miss Madison County Anna Key. There was a drawing held for a grill set at 3:15 p.m., and Jason Justus was the lucky winner.
