North Florida Community College’s “Kids in College: An Innovation of Fun” program offers a creative and educational outlet for children over the summer. Three camps are being offered for children in completed 1st through 6th grades – Kelly Center Kids, Art Camp and Culinary Camp – June 9-26 and July 7-24 at varying times (see schedule below). Camps will run Monday through Thursday with no camps scheduled during the week of July 4. NFCC is also hosting its annual Health Scholars Camp for completed 6th through 9th graders July 7-10.

Kelly Center Kids (Completed 1st-6th Grades)
Every day is about being healthy and getting active. Find out which fun, healthy activity is for you. Sign up and get challenged. Comfortable clothing and athletic shoes required.
DATES: June 9-26 TIME: 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
DATES: July 7-24 TIME: 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
Art Camp (Completed 1st-6th Grades)
Children will draw, color and paint with a variety of mediums. Their creations will become memories of their summer of 2014. The main focus is to be expressive while having fun.
DATES: June 9-26 TIME: 1-3 p.m.
DATES: July 7-24 TIME: 1:-3 p.m.
Culinary Camp (Completed 1st-6th Grades)
Cooking made fun! Learn about knife safety, microwave safety, using an electric mixer, blender or other kitchen appliances. Additional kitchen basics such as: how to tell when noodles, cakes and cookies are done, and how to double a recipe or “half” it.

DATES: July 7-24 TIME: 3-5: p.m.
Health Scholars Camp (Completed 6th-9th Grades)
Do you know what to do when it comes to first aid? Are you interested in the Health Career field? If you answered yes to either of these questions you are a fit for this camp.
DATES: July 7-10 TIME: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
DEADLINE TO APPLY: Monday, June 30, 2014
Children attending camp must be registered prior to the first day of camp; registration deadline for Health Scholars Camp is June 30. Camp costs vary and are based on half or full day camp options. Discounts will be applied for each second and third child in a family for Kelly Center Kids, Art Camp and Culinary Camp.
