Many people throughout Madison County have fond memories of their summers spent at Pickett Lake-- jumping off the dock when its murky waters reached the highest point of the bank or sunrise worship spent singing sweet familiar songs and smiling at the sunrise. While much has changed since then, Pickett Lake Children's camp remains the same and continues to provide a fun, life-changing experience for kids throughout the Middle Florida Baptist Association. Pickett Lake Children's Camp is July 6 through July 9 and the camp committee is gearing up for an exciting 2015 session. The camp is for children who have completed the 2nd through the 6th grades. Check in is July 6 at 10 a.m. Family night will be Thursday at 5 p.m. Campers will need to bring the following items: a Bible; sheets or sleeping bag; a pillow; a lightweight blanket; towels; a swimsuit; tennis shoes; several sets of play clothes for recreation; and toiletries such as toothpaste, shampoo, soap and deodorant. The cost is $100 per camper; this includes camp registration, all snack shack items and a camp t-shirt. Please make all checks out to Middle Florida Baptist Association. The registration fee, completed registration form and a completed and notarized medical permission and release form must be submitted to the association office on or before June 5. There will be no refunds afterward. If you have any questions, you may call the Association Office at (850) 973-8607 or Amy Fletcher at (850) 973-0633. The camp committee is looking forward to a wonderful camp this year and they hope to see you there! Your kids will be sure to make memories that will last a lifetime!
