Recall Update: Kraft Heinz recalls turkey bacon

Hankering for a turkey bacon sandwich? Kraft Heinz, the parent company of Oscar Mayer, issued its recall of turkey bacon products around the same time as the bread recall, due to reports of spoilage issues, meaning the product is going bad before its “Best By Date.” The affected products are: Oscar Mayer “Selects Uncured Turkey Bacon” (56-ounce cardboard boxes containing four plastic wrapped packages) with a plant number of P-9070, a line number of RS19 and Product UPC 0 4470007633 0. It has “Best When Used By” dates of Aug. 24, 2015, through Oct. 26, 2015. Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon “Smoked Cured Turkey Chopped and Formed” (36-ounce cardboard boxes containing three plastic wrapped packages) with the plant number P-9070, the line number RS19 and Product UPC 0 7187154874 8. It has “Best When Used By” dates of Aug. 28, 2015, through Oct. 20, 2015. Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon “Smoked Cured Turkey Chopped and Formed” (48-ounce cardboard boxes containing four plastic wrapped packages) with the plant number P-9070, the line number RS19 and Product UPC 0 7187154879 3.
