On Monday evening, June 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, the Lord Almighty summoned Raymon Williams home.
Raymon Williams was born Feb. 25, 1959 in Greenville, Fl. to the late Mitchell and Rosa Lee Williams Randall.
Sleepy, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, grew up in the Greenville area and attended the public schools of Madison County. As an adult, he left the Greenville area and lived in the Ft. Pierce area for about 30 years. He did various seasonal jobs like working in watermelon and working at fairs.
He leaves to mourn his passing: six siblings, Margie Hadley of Thomasville, Ga.; Joyce Wells, Pam Fead, Mary Williams, Mitchell (Ann) Randall and Tammy Young, all of Greenville, Fl.; aunts and uncles: Alma Schultz, France (Johnny) Davis, Flossie (Cleveland) Blackshear and James Randall, all of Madison, Fl. and Anna “Osie” Williams, and John Henry (Betty) Randall, all of Orlando, Fl. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a very special friend, Elois Harden and kids, Timothy Pace and Takeya Pace.
A funeral service for Williams will be held at Cooks and Cooper Funeral Home in Madison, Fl. on Sunday, June 18 at 3 p.m. Interment will be held at New Zion Baptist Church in Greenville.
