Pinetta School Reunion a success

On Saturday, May 14, those who attended Pinetta Jr. High School gathered for a Pinetta School Reunion at the Pinetta Community Center.

At the reunion, there were a total of 100 attendees, with the oldest graduate from the class of 1940 attending. Two former teachers at Pinetta Jr. High School, Charlotte Hollingsworth and Evelyn Poindexter, also attended the event, humorously reminding their former students how badly they misbehaved at times.

Lunch was catered by Sharon Shadrick, who also prepared and decorated the community center.

A reunion has been planned for next year for all of the Pinetta School graduates around May 14, so mark your calendars and save the date.
