Rise to 55 begins in Madison

The Jake Sullivan Golf Tournament made for an awesome weekend

Emerald G. Parsons: Greene Publishing, Inc. The annual Jake Sullivan Golf Tournament was held Oct. 21-22 at the Madison Golf & Country Club. Approximately 60 golfers joined together for a fun-filled weekend of golf, great food and great fellowship. The two-man teams battled it out with scores from their Best Ball on Saturday and their Scramble scores on Sunday. Participants were served lunch on both Saturday and Sunday and a catered dinner was served on Saturday evening with special entertainment by Highway 59.

Cowboys rope in Raiders, cap off undefeated season

On Thursday, Nov. 2, the Cowboys travelled to Tallahassee to take on the Rickards High School Raiders in the final game of this year’s regular season. Tim Sanders was administered the oath of office by Jefferson County Judge Bobby Plaines on Wednesday afternoon.
