On December 22, 1947 Willie Lee Boatman was born to Inez Moore Peak and the late Elijah Boatman.
He departed this life on February 28, 2014 after battling cancer.
Rev. Willie Lee Boatman was Bishop of the New Freewill Baptist Conference. He also served as the pastor of Pineview Freewill Baptist Church (Quitman, GA) and Tabernacle Freewill Baptist Church (Colquitt, GA) for several years.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Inez Moore Peak, his loving wife, Florence Boatman; Children- Darian Macklin, Delvin (Anna Marie) Boatman, Willie Boatman, Jr. and Carol (Solomon) Griffin all of Madison, FL. Terrence Boatman of Jacksonville, FL, Negretta (Judge) Glenn of Quitman, GA and Zacery (Stephanie) Boatman of Ft. Wainwright, Alaska, 11 sisters, 12 brothers, 8 sister-in-laws, 9 brother-in-laws, 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He also leaves a host of other family members and friends. Funeral services for Rev. Willie L. Boatman, age 66 of Madison, Florida will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Tabernacle Church of God in Unity, 709 Boundary Street, Quitman, Georgia, with Rev. Delvin T. Boatman officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakridge Cemetery in Madison. The Boatman Family will receive relatives and friends for visitation and viewing on Friday, March 7, 2014 between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. at the Pineveiw Freewill Baptist Church in Quitman, Georgia.
