Mr. Naamon Mobley, 62, resident of Olustee, Fl., and former resident of Madison, passed away Monday, June 16, peacefully at his residence terminating a brief illness.
He was the third of eight children born to the union of the late Mr. Willie James Mobley, Sr. and Mrs. Jeny Ethel Mobley.
Mr. Naamon Mobley was baptized at an early age and served three years in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing and repairing cars in his younger life. In his later years, he enjoyed gardening, watching western movies and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years Cora Mobley; four children: Spencer Taylor (Dawn), LaSonya Wise, Seanetta Robinson (James) and Naamon Lamont Taylor; three grandchildren: Chquan Wise, Latesha Robinson and Natauishia Taylor; five brothers: Theodore Roosevelt Mobley (Amy) of Orlando, Anthony Mobley (Angel), Willie James Mobley, Jr., Robert Louis Mobley and Vincent Mobley of Sumpter, Fl.; two sisters: Barbara Ann Jackson (Anthony) and LaKaylya Dionn Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel located at 251 NE Washington Street, Lake City, Fl. on Friday, June 27, from 6-7 p.m. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at 1 p.m., at Cooks-Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service for the late Mr. Naamon Mobley will be held Saturday, June 28, at 2 p.m., at Cooks-Cooper Funeral Home Chapel, located at l701 3rd Street, Madison. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Madison.
