Mrs. Martha Carolyn Taylor, 66, of Quitman passed away Monday, April 28, at her daughter’s residence. Mrs. Taylor was born November 8, 1947 to the late Bryce and Mable Hunter Clemens. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a retailer in antiques.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Taylor of Quitman; four children: Kristi (Jason) Hylton of Quitman, Jodi (Johnny) Johnson of Quitman, Brandon (Darlene) Bateman of Adairsville, Ga., and Amy (Carlton) Hart of Quitman; grandchildren: Will and Sydni Hall, Jaden and Luke Hylton, Dusty Smith, Casey and Elizabeth Johnson, Kelli Kimbrell, Amy Kimbrell, Tiffany Kimbrell, Jacob and Abby Bateman, Taylor Hart, Alden Hart, and Bryce Hart; one brother: Frank Clemons of Louisville, Tenn.; cousin, Mary Ann Pezzullo of Alphrattea, Ga. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Hatton.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 1, at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Hilliard, and Rev. Randy Blow officiating.
