Mr. Grady Cochran, Jr., 68, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, October 27, after a brief illness. He was born in St. Petersburg, Fl. on September 12, 1946 to Mr. Grady Cochran, Sr. and Mrs. Minnie Cochran, both preceded him in death. His one sister, Ethel Lee Cochran also preceded him in death. Grady retired from the City of St. Petersburg after 32 years of service, Upon his retirement, he relocated to Madison. He is survived by his wife and companion of 41 years, Kay; an aunt Ann Mitchell; loving and caring niece, Sonya Cochran; nephews: Reginald Cochran, Corey Roberson and Solomon McClean, all of St. Petersburg. Daughters: Kaytrena Joseph, of Madison and Alfena (Connie) Rascoe, of Laurel, Md.; grandsons: Mark Smith of Atlanta, Ga., and Kammeron Joseph, of San Antonio, Texas, US Army; sisters-in-law: Margaret Townsend, of Madison, who was always there in the time of need and Mattie Murray, of Tallahassee; brother-in-law, Joseph (Louise) Gillyard, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.; and caring friend James (Ruth) Anderson, Sr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, at 12 noon at Faith Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 18th Avenue South in St. Petersburg, Fl., with viewing beginning at 10 a.m., until time of service.
