David Quincy Thomas, 94, died Wednesday, May 21, at Madison County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 24, at 11 a.m. at Beggs Funeral Home with burial at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, May 23 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home Madison Chapel.
He was born in Madison County, where he lived all his life to the parents of Henry Jefferson and Genie Malone Thomas. He worked as a Shade Tobacco grower, at the Madison County Road Dept., and at Madison Machine Shop. He loved gardening and was a member of Midway Church of God.
He is survived by one son: Roy Wade Thomas (Cheryell) of Madison; one daughter: Vonnie Lee Davis (Wally) of Madison; five grandchildren: Gina Davis, Dina Davis of Tallahassee, Debra Kay Thomas of Tampa, Wade Thomas and Missy Bowen; two great grandchildren: Patrick and Alexis Bowen.
