A new year is here and so is another edition of the North Florida Livestock Show and Sale. With events stretching from the middle of January to the middle of February, this years show is sure to be a good one.
All entries were due for a mandatory weigh-in and tagging on Saturday, Nov. 4. All entries should attend the 4-H Livestock Clinic on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 4:30 p.m. This event is mandatory and will cover record book requirements, swine showmanship and grooming. Beginning at 6 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 18 is the North Florida Livestock Show and Sale kick-off dinner. Both events will be held at the Madison County Extension Office (MCEO), located at 184 NW College Loop, in Madison.
4-H record books are due on Friday, Feb. 9, by 4:30 p.m., at the MCEO. Record book submission is mandatory for all 4-H members participating in the show. FFA records books are due to Ed Sapp by the established FFA deadline.
There will be one more established meeting on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 6 p.m., at the MCEO. Forms are now available for the Pee Wee Scramble. There is a limit of 125 participants or a 12 p.m. cut-off time on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
The North Florida Livestock Show and Sale officially begins on Monday, Feb. 19 with separate swine and steer entry receiving times, as well as an exhibitors' meeting and a youth swine show.
