With the first day of school just around the corner, Tuesday’s Aug. 5 school board meeting will be the last one of the summer before the 2014-2015 school year starts (the first day of school is Monday, Aug. 18).
The board will be considering several items during that meeting, including:
A powerpoint presentation of School Improvement Grant (SIG) activities for the first year covered by the grant.
An update on academic services for the upcoming school year.
An update on the construction project underway at the high school.
Parents and interested community members will have a chance to address the board on matters of concern during the public input segment at the beginning of the meeting.
The Madison County School Board meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month (unless otherwise noted) at the School Board Administrative Office at 210 N.E. Duval Street. The next regularly scheduled school board meeting is Tuesday, Aug. 19.
