Mormon missionaries come to Madison

John Willoughby: Greene Publishing, Inc.

Nearly two months ago, Elder McKenna came to Madison to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS). Just one month ago though, Elder Buck joined Elder McKenna, making the mission for two people.

Elder McKenna came from St. George, Ut. with hopes to bring people closer to Jesus Christ through faith. His work in Madison is his very first missionary assignment. His partner, Elder Buck came from Malea, Id. to work with McKenna. Buck has served in Chipley, Fl., as well as other cities.

The LDS church is one of the most active churches practicing missionary work, with over 74,000 missionaries world wide. These Mormon missionaries serve voluntarily. If you see these two missionaries around town, be sure to say “Hello!” and welcome them to Madison.
