Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that investigators of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into the sale of methamphetamine in Madison County. During the course of the investigation, Keri Exler and David Crosby were identified persons involved in the illegal possession and sell of methamphetamine.
On multiple occasions, investigators were able to make controlled purchases of methamphetamine from Exler and Crosby resulting in arrest warrants being issued for them both.
On June 3, investigators conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that both Exler and Crosby were traveling in to execute the active arrest warrants for possession and sell of methamphetamine. Both Exler and Crosby were removed from the vehicle and taken into custody. Investigators located a mobile methamphetamine lab inside the vehicle resulting in added charges.
Exler has been charged with possess of a controlled substance-methamphetamine,
unlawful distribute/dispense controlled substance, controlled manufacture methamphetamine and possess drug equipment.
Crosby has been charged with attempt, solicit, conspire to sell methamphetamine, manufacture methamphetamine and possess drug equipment.
