Applications for the annual Miss Relay for Life Pageant are now available and plans for this year’s pageant are underway. The Miss Relay for Life Pageant will be held on Sunday, May 3, at 3 p.m., at the NFCC Auditorium. This year’s pageant will include age divisions from birth through 21 years old. The age divisions are: Infant Miss – Birth-12 Months; Baby Miss – 13-23 Months; Toddler Miss – 2-3 years old; Tiny Miss – 4-5 years old; Little Miss – 6-7 years old; Junior Miss – 8-9 years old; Pre-Teen Miss – 10-12 years old; Teen Miss – 13-15 years old; and Miss – 16-21 years old (Not married and with no children). Each girl/young lady will compete in “Pageant Attire” which consists of white bottoms and a purple top of choice (any style as long as it is appropriate.) There are optional divisions available for Prettiest Hair and Best Stage Personality. The cost for entering the Miss Relay for Life Pageant is $50 with the optional divisions costing $5 each. There is a $10 sibling discount after the first child. All proceeds, above the entry fee, will benefit the Relay for Life of Madison County. Each division queen will receive a custom crown, embroidered banner and a trophy. All division runners-up will receive a trophy or medallion. All division optional winners will receive a framed certificate. Contestants who do not place will receive a trophy. All contestants will receive a goody bag. There will be a special “Miss Relay for Life Charity Queen” crowned. This queen will be crowned from being the contestant who raises the most money above and beyond her entry fee for Relay for Life. She will receive $50 cash, a trophy, crown, framed certificate, and embroidered banner. The contestant must raise at least $200 above the entry fee in order to be eligible for this title.
