On Wednesday, the 7th of May, three seniors from the Madison County High School Bands traveled to Valdosta to audition for the Valdosta State University Department of Music and all three were accepted on the spot.
Kammeron Joseph, Taylor Sever and Joshua Stafford will now complete applications and begin the process of pursuing music scholarships. These students are setting the stage for more musicians to graduate from MCHS and perform at the collegiate level.
Already attending VSU as a music major from the Madison County High School Bands in his final year is David Sanders.  Sanders is the son of Kim and Ted Sanders of Madison and should be graduating with his Music Education degree next spring. Cullen Gudz also graduated from the bands at MCHS in 2012 and is now attending the Florida State University College of Music.  Cullen was accepted on special audition and is now performing with the Concert Band and the Florida State University Marching Chiefs. Gudz is the son of Brigette and Martin Gudz of Madison.
