MCCS Lady Broncos 1-4

The Lady Broncos split two games this week moving their season record to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in conference.
The Lady Broncos gained control in the second quarter and never looked back for their first win of the season. The Lady Broncos traveled to take on Havana Middle School on Tuesday, Nov. 18 and the final score was MCCS 27 and Havana 23. Lasage Ferguson led the way with 12 points, Zharia Norwood added nine, Kristal Joseph made four and Kenneatha Newsome wrapped up the scoring with two points.
On Thursday, Nov. 20, MCCS traveled to Taylor County for a rematch against a conference rival. The Lady Broncos couldn’t get the offense started and fell 26 to 39. Norwood led the way with seven points, Ferguson contributed six, Tamya Simmons and Kenyia Davis added five, Newsome had two and Markeyvia House had one point.
The Lady Broncos will resume play on Monday, Dec. 1, at Richardson and then will host Hamilton on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. with the boy’s game to follow. Please come out and support your MCCS Broncos.
