Man In Serious Condition After Hit And Run

A Madison resident was left lying in the middle of the roadway on Old County Camp Road on Monday, August 4 at 10:07 p.m., after being struck and run over by an unknown vehicle.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, the vehicle was traveling west on Old County Camp Road, just east of Pineland Avenue and failed to observe the pedestrian, identified as Marcus Arnold, 36, of Madison. The vehicle ran over Arnold and then failed to remain on scene. The driver is unknown at this time.
Arnold was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in serious condition. According to the FHP report, this was not an alcohol related incident for Arnold.
