Travis Cruce, 22, of Madison, Fl. was found dead in a rural part of Northwest Taylor County in the early morning of Saturday, August 8. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is assisting the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office in an investigation into the death of Cruce. FDLE is providing investigative and crime scene assistance to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, who remain the lead investigative agency. Cruce is survived by his mother, Tammi Cruce; his father, Johnny Cruce; his sister, Tashina Cruce; his brother, Andrew Cruce; his fiance, Rachel Gibson; his son, Remington Cruce; grandmother, Linda Faircloth; two nieces: Kylie Cruce and Lillie Willis; and one nephew, Levi Willis. The investigation is active and on going; however, anyone with information can call the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 838-3505 and ask for Captain Rice.
