On Tuesday, Sept. 13, around 8 a.m., Madison local, David Bonner, 61, of Madison, was traveling south across I-10 when a 2006 Chevy Silverado driven by Danny Loper, 68, of Live Oak, collided with Bonner after he had crossed onto the left westbound travel lane of I-10.

Loper sustained no injuries, and brought his vehicle to a final rest facing west on the unpaved median between the westbound and eastbound travel lanes.

Bonner came to a rest in the left travel lane and was pronounced dead on the scene by first responders. Bonner's next of kin have been notified and as of yet, Florida Highway Patrol has released no charges against Loper.
