The Madison Fire Rescue assists residents in both the city and county for all their fire needs but they also assist with vehicle wrecks, medical assistance and transportation. In November, Madison Fire Rescue answered a total of 88 calls. The department answered 33 calls in the city and 55 in the county.
Out of the city’s 33 calls, six were for fire alarms, seven were for medical assistance, two were for lock outs, seven were for motor vehicle crashes, eight were for lift assistance (someone fell and needed help up), two were for gas leaks and one was for a brush fire.
Out of the county’s 55 calls, 21 were for motor vehicle crashes, seven were for fire alarms, eight were for brush fires, nine were for medical assistance, four were for structure fires, three were for vehicle fires and one each for gas leak, power line down and false call.
