The Madison Fire Rescue assists residents in both the city and county for all their fire needs but they also assist with vehicle wrecks, medical assistance and transportation. In September, Madison Fire Rescue received a total of 57 calls. The department answered 25 calls in the city and 32 in the county. In the city, there were four motor vehicle crashes, five assist EMS, three fire alarms, three LZ setups, three medical assists, two assist police, one call each for lock out, electric meter fire, tree fire, trash fire and smoke scare. In the county, there were 15 motor vehicle crashes, five assist EMS, three fire alarms, two medical assists and one call each for brush fire, vehicle fire, CO alarm, LP fire, lock out, structure fire and lift assist.
