The Madison Fire Rescue assists residents in both the city and county for all their fire needs but they also assist with vehicle wrecks, medical assistance and transportation. In October, Madison Fire Rescue received a total of 54 calls. The department answered 12 calls in the city and 42 in the county. In the city, there were three motor vehicle crashes, three medical assists calls, two assist EMS calls and one call each for LZ setup, smoke alarm, power line down and fire alarm. In the county, there were 23 motor vehicle crashes, four assist EMS calls, three fire alarm calls, two calls each for smoke scare, medical assist, vehicle fire and grass fire and one call each for power line down, controlled burn, bomb scare and structure fire.
