Madison County United Way has kicked off their campaign and it will end on Tuesday, Nov. 25. The Co-Chairs this year are Stephanie Carroll and Kaitlynn Passmore from Tri-County Electric. Their goal for this year is to collect $91,716. They also plan to have their Celebrity Waiters event again but no date has been set.
Madison County United Way plans to donate the money collected during this campaign to 20 different organizations. The organizations are 2-1-1 Big Bend, Ability 1st, American Red Cross, America’s Second Harvest, Big Bend Cares, Big Bend Hospice, Boys and Girls Club, Tabula Rasa, Brehon Family Services, Capital City Youth Services, Children’s Home Society, Consolidated Christian Ministries of Madison, Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend, Elder Care Services, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Girl Scouts, Kids Incorporates, Madison Senior Citizens Council, Office of the Public Guardian, Refuge House and Sickle Cell Foundation.
United Way of the Big Bend covers Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor and Wakulla counties. Last year, over $1.2 million was invested into the community.
