The Madison County Courthouse will be reaching its 100th Anniversary and to help celebrate this occasion, Clerk of Court Tim Sanders, co-chair with Cary Hardee, of the Treasures of Madison County Historical Committee, will be holding a Centennial Celebration at the courthouse on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2:30 p.m. Judge Edwin Browning will be the guest speaker at the event and after his delivery the celebration will finish with birthday cake and punch.
To help celebrate this centenary event, the Madison County Chamber of Commerce has been selling 2×4 banners that will be hung from street lamps in downtown Madison. The banners will remain on the lamps until the end of the year for residents and visitors to see. Banners can be customized with the same personalization on each side, and sell for $100 each. There are only a few banners left for businesses or individuals to purchase. If interested, call the Chamber at (850) 973-2788, or visit them at 248 SW Range Ave.
Tim Sanders invites all residents, guests and visitors of Madison to come out on Nov. 16 and celebrate with the town at this memorable and significant event.
