The July permit report for Madison County Building Department shows there was a total of 77 permits issued. This is up from 74 permits issued in June. There was one new residential construction and $645.29 was collected in fees. The electrical permit was the highest issued with 25 permits and $2,285.33 was collected in fees. The other permits that include demolition were issued 11 times with $805.47 collected. Mechanical permits were issued 10 times with $750 collected. Roofing permits were issued eight times with $1,037.30 collected and there were six mobile homes or modular setup permits issued with $2,172.32 collected. Building permits, including barns and storage, were issued five times with $865 collected in fees. Fire safety and renovation permits had three issued each with $390.50 and $1,241.15 in fees collected, respectively. Residential additions and plumbing permits were issued twice each with $198 and $200.45 collected respectively. A total of $10,645.81 was collected in fees.
